Q34. What does average mean in the reading?
(A) Popular.
(B) Serious. ←
(C) Common. ←
(D) Interested.
10~39 — No Internet addiction Good for you. You are an average Internet user.
這一格的三個訊號全部都是正面的: ① No Internet addiction(沒有成癮) ② Good for you.(很好、恭喜你) ③ You don’t have any problems.(你沒有任何問題)
average 一字多用: 形容詞「平均的、一般的」:an average student(普通學生) 名詞「平均值」:on average(平均而言) 動詞「平均為」:The class averages 30 students.
(3-0806-02 pay through the nose)/
be on the way to = 正朝著……
You are on the way to Internet addiction.(你正在走向網路成癮。)
take action = 採取行動right away = 立刻 cut the time = 減少時間ask someone for help = 向某人求助 stop someone from V-ing = 阻止某人做……
your parents stop you from using the Internet
Do you fail to do homework…?
第 1 冊 7/08 那篇手機的文章也用過 teenagers fail to do so。
like A better than B = 喜歡 A 勝過 B in order to + 原形V = 為了…… because of + 名詞 = 因為……
(注意:because of + 名詞/because + 句子,兩者不能互換。)
(A) Serious Internet addiction (B) Possible Internet addiction
(C) No Internet addiction (D)
2. Tom is just an average basketball player, but he practices harder than anyone else.
1. (B) Possible Internet addiction。 Sometimes = 5
2. (B) 普通的。線索在 but 後面:he practices harder than anyone else(他比任何人都努力)。
No addiction、Good for you、don’t have any problems,
